It's amazing that the most fun I get from shooting pictures comes from the use of one of my cheapest, but best performing, lens - Canon 50mm F1.8.
Here are a few shots using that lens.

Cheap 50s are great. Here's an even cheaper 50mm lens, a Zuiko 50/1.8 I got attached to an Olympus OM10 for about NZ$40. Used here on an Olympus e-520 as a 100mm equivalent portrait lens.

The nearest I get to 50mm equivalent in m4/3, a 20/1.7 Panasonic on a Lumix G3. That PanaLeica 25/1.4 is sooo tempting but sooo expensive.

Couldn't agree more. I have the Canon 50mm F1.8 too and it's great. If I want to take pics of live music, it's all I take with me.

My cheapo Nikon 1.8mm is great too.
The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.
