    Thumbs up Nbgd!

I really don't need a 6th bass. BUT a seller on cl was selling a '70 Aria 1720 for next to nothing, w/typical period chipboard case. Too good to pass up.

    MIJ Mosrite copy!

Nice! I've been gassing for the DM-380, the 6-string version of that. I love that Mosrite body style. Congrats!

Thanks, being a Ramones fan I've always wanted something in the Mosrite family, since Johnny played a Mosrite guitar. I didn't expect to ever buy a Mosrite-y bass, but that's the cool thing about craigslist, ya never know what's going to pop up.

When I started playing in clubs (at 15), the guys in the band I'd sit in with had a Mosrite guitar that shape and color. I really liked that guitar. Your bass brings back a lot of memories. Congrats on the find.

Sure, it can play Ramones, but can it get down with some Beatles funk?

VERY cool bass - nice find. Those MIJ from 70's/80's are great builds with a real vintage vibe.

Thanks. By coincidence the church band has an "outside gig" at another church in a few weeks, and our bassiste will be unavailable for it. So I talked my daughter into sitting in, and she's excited to get to play the Aria, since it's a short scale (30.5") bass for a change.

This is us playing last year in one of my side bands, Pedagogy. She's playing her USA Peavey Foundation through my bass rig in this pic:

2 VERY cool things....that Aria....and that you've raised your daughter to thrown down with Pops.

    Clearly you're doing things right.

Thanks! As luck would have it, the day after my daughter agreed to do the outside gig with the praise band (she used to play with me in that band too), our regular bassiste announced that her vacay date had got moved, so now I hafta tell shorty no-go.
