A møøse once bit my sister ... No realli!
Wow, the devastation and home losses must have been shocking to see.
Just before I left town this week, the Mrs. and I did a hike on the 4th to get a look from up high at the fire devastation from last week. We lost 66 homes and 20 additional buildings on the south edge of town. The fire pictures are at the bottom.
On the way down we stopped to adjust a hydration bladder and there was a dark movement in the trees about 10 feet to our left. Out popped this young lady and she "huffed" at us...the reason why is the two little ones she was chaperoning. I just explained to her that we just want to get on down the trail and she politely stepped back into the woods about 10 yards down the trail and then vanished like a Ninja. Then just another 30 yards down the trail we had another visitor.
This area had some nice and costly homes, that all vanished in about 1 hour.
Some of the burn area from up high...sans homes.

Moose are amazing runners and an angry mother can chase you hard even if you're fast on that bike!
Sorry about the fire - seems like there are a lot of fires happening in many parts of North America. B.C. has had a lot of problems with forest fires in recent years.
The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.
