Default 20-year old Squier Teles - how were things Squier then?

Oddly, there is a 20-year old Squier Tele for sale near me.

    How were they, back then?

Ah, but the question is: "How is it NOW?". Can't play a memory.

Cursory research points to either Japanese or Korean made

Seller says: ...bought this used about 16 years ago from a friend's guitar shop. It appears to me that a previous owner may have replaced the top load Squire bridge with an older/standard ? Tele bridge plate and string truss pieces. The body has been drilled (neatly) so strings load through the back.

(double-spaces between sentences points to attorney, or old typist's hand...!)

I may as well take a look, it is minutes away from me...

Yep, at least check it out. Some of those Japanese Squiers are pretty nice.

Oh, I put double spaces between sentences for ascetics, but I'm no attorney and sure can't type!
