I know Spud LOVES his just as is. He feels no need at all to replace anything, and feels that the PUPs are perfect in that strat. I think DVM also liked his very much.
Have a CV 50's strat on order. How are the factory pups. Did anybody swap them out on theirs? If so what did you put in.

love is the answer, at least for most of the questions in my heart. . .

I've had a CV 50s Strat for quite a while and many gigs now. I love it just the way it is...with one exception. In humid environments (sweaty bars) the back of the neck is sticky. That will be remedied with a bit of time with the Scotch Brite pad. I just haven't done it yet because it's hard to tamper with (near) perfection.
I did one mod to it that makes it perfect in my opinion. I hooked the bridge pickup to the second tone pot and then disconnected the middle pickup from tone completely. Much better this way. In fact, I just played mine pretty hard yesterday for about an hour, but then I switched to another guitar just for grins.

Thanks guys!!! Looks like I'm good to go.
The pickups are excellent in the CV Strats... I believe they are Tonerider.

No problem Spud......I got it in Fiesta Red...
I have no desire to change the pickups on mine, either.
I replaced the stock tree the with a roller one, the pick guard, and the tremolo block with a brass one.

Pickups in my CV '50s Strat sounded great, too. No need to change them, unless the single coil hum bugs you too much.

Here you go Spud. Just got it today. What a really nice guitar. I think I like it better than my American Strat.

Sweet! That's a great color.
It's great that we can get a good quality guitar these days that still fits within a strict budget. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
