Default So.... Did y'all miss me?

    Hey all!

Been gone the last week or so...

Started a new, higher paying job. Moved to a different area of Texas. We are renting an older 3 bedroom house, and finally have room to stretch out again, at a rent $150.00 less than our last apartment. Haven't picked up a guitar in weeks, except to move.

One of the perks with this move is that I may be able to start giving guitar lessons again on Sundays!

    How have you been?

    Welcome back, Kat!
Sounds like a good move, and the higher paying job sure doesn't hurt, either.

Congrats on the new job Kat!

That is great news and it looks like you've been making the most of your absence from here.

How's baby Kat and her bass playing?

Hey, Kat - glad to hear that you're giving the lie to your username these days

    Thanks, guys!

NWB - she's doing good on the bass, but it's still a novelty to her, as I was working nights and weekends and didn't get much time to show her anything. That will change, and soon.

TJ - I'm afraid to admit it, as it's been really hard on the family for the past three years or so. I'd like to hope that we're climbing out of hard times and into better ones.

I'm off to go do laundry for tomorrow and assemble my daughter's bed.

Congratulations on the higher-paying job, Kat! I know how much moving sucks, but once you're all settled in, things will be much smoother.

Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.

Thanks FF! I'm taking the night off to relax a bit, after my 13.5 hours at work today. Tomorrow is my day off, and it will be a marathon of unpacking and settling in.

Another perk of this house? It used to have a detached garage, but the original owner closed in the walkway between the house and garage, making it another functional space/walkway/room. Guess who finally gets a place for his music gear??? THIS GUY! (points to self in ridiculous, overdone fashion).
