Cool Get or Give Anything Cool For Christmas?

Mrs. Tig's gift to me was the early Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Short Scale and Acoustic B20 1x12 bass amp. I gave her an iPad.

We enjoyed giving the kids some much needed stuff, and the grand kids educational and fun toys. I gave my son in law the pawn shop find Squier Tele Custom and the old modded Peavey Vypyr 15 that I was saving for such an occasion. He's really into classic and modern metal and was completely surprised and pleased.

Guitar: Gibson SG Standard Natural Burst, Squier CV 50's Tele, Hell Guitars No. 2, Squier CV 50's Strat, Reverend Club King 290, Taylor 522e 12-Fret mahogany,
Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Short Scale
Amp: Fender Super Champ X2 Head, Egnater Tweaker 15, Fender Mustang I, Acoustic B20 1x12 bass amp
Pedal: Budda Budwah wah, Wampler Ego Compressor, Electro-Harmonix Soul Food, Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive, Wampler Velvet Fuzz, Seven Sisters Eve Tremolo, TC Electronics Gravy Tri Chorus & Vibrato, Catalinbread Echorec, TC Electronic Alter Ego 2 Delay, Hardwire Supernatural Ambient Verb, MXR Carbon Copy, Catalinbread RAH, Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker, BYOC Mouse 2.0 Distortion, BYOC Boost/OD-2

Gave my youngest son his first Acoustic guitar for Christmas. And though I'm not a big fan of highly lacquered acoustics, for a "first" guitar its pretty sweet. Good looks, thinner body, and a pretty good sound when plugged in. I know he loves it. Everything he had gotten thus far was hand me down cheap electrics.

I got a pair of battery-powered heated gloves! Awesome!

Gave Mrs. Spud a 15 degree down sleeping bag and she gave me a chair kit for my Exped Synmat. Looks like we're planning to go back into the wilderness again.

Mrs. Basser bought me an Ibanez A/E bass, apparently to go with my Ibanez A/E guitar.

No pics just yet, but oh boy is it fun to play! Pretty darn quiet unplugged as I expected.

Run throught the rig though and it really thumps. I can hardly put it down.

I gave my oldest son one of those for Christmas last year. "SWEET!!!" He hardly ever plays his Fender Precision any more. Nice score NWBasser!!

I gave my girlfriend an engagement ring and she said "yes". I guess that's a fair trade, right?

Congratulations, guitarhack! May you have many years of happiness together.

An older couple once said that a great and long lasting marriage wasn't a 50-50 relationship, but instead, a 100-100 one.

Tig - true words of wisdom!

Guitarhack - congrats! Nice way to start the new year! Mrs. C and I just celebrated (yesterday) our 25th.

My son got a 3-hour tour of the Walking Dead set. This is him with his cousin Erin, with their guides:
