I am looking for a new reverb pedal as my amp doesn't have one, so would you go for a TC Toneport reverb pedal or maybe a Line6 M5 ?
I like the idea of the Line6 M5 as I could do with another delay-echo-..... pedal.
Any ideas ?

The M5 will get you more bang for the buck than a single reverb unit will. There will be times that you may want a different effect other than reverb and with the M5 you'll be covered. However, for not much more scratch you can get a used M9 and be a bit farther down the road if you ever want another pedal of any sort. You can still have reverb running while 2 other effects are still available on the M9. All the reverbs are very adjustable as well.

Ha! Tele-ish now inbound.
Spud has a great point about the extra options available with the M5 or better, the M9.
However, if you want a really sweet reverb that covers plenty of ground, the TC Hall of Fame w/Toneprint would have to be at the top of the reverb only list.

I have this one All the big reverb sounds, and the trem is amazing!
Not to me it doesn't. I've gigged for years with the M13 and nobody ever mentioned that my sound was 'digital' either. An interesting aside - My M9 sounds better than my M13, just a little clearer and the effects sound more pronounced. Same software versions too.
The M9 and M13 has really curbed my pedal g.a.s. as well. If I get urges I just go dial something up.

That's a weird feeling, isn't it? Maybe my standards have gone down, but knowing roughly how to get stuff sounding good through tweaking and the preponderance of high-quality and low-cost gear (Line 6, Squier CV, Jet City, etc.) has really made the tone chase kind of a secondary thing at this point. At least that's kind of what I've found. Makes me wonder what I'm supposed to do when I don't have an instrument to plink away on...

I have no personal experience, but even guys on The Gear Page seem to like the M-series reverb. I've toyed with getting an M5 for that very purpose.
