That strat has the newer fat fifties pups and better circuitry than the older ones a plus for sure and a nice ash

Very true, Muddy. The shots I took were indoors with a flash, and I had to shoot at an angle to keep the flash reflections at bay. Unfortunately, that mutes the appearance of the wood grain--you can see that especially well in the body shot, where the grain shows pretty well on the upper part of the body but really fades out down lower. Hope to be able to take some daylight shots out on my front porch this weekend....after the Nor'easter blows by!
