Default New music that I've been writing - new blog about composing and song writing

    Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've visited theFret.net, so I wanted to post a link to some new songs I've been working on and also a blog that I started about composing and songwriting.

Here is a link to my music page: http://crazycomposer.com/music/
I just finished a song called "Winter Twilight". I've been delving into the use of more orchestral instruments lately and learning how to use those sounds to accompany my guitar tracks.

I've been working on music with the idea of licensing songs for documentaries, TV/film, advertising, etc. It's a very competitive field but I figure that everyone has to start somewhere, so I just started writing stuff and started my own blog to talk about various topics related to the art of songwriting. You can find the blog on the same site: http://crazycomposer.com/category/blog/

Thanks to anyone who listens to the tracks on the music page or visits the site.

Nice to see you around again Jim.

Some really cool music on your site. I particularly enjoyed "Invasion of Mayberry" and "The Desert" as well as getting to hear "Zenoid Rumble" again which I remember you sharing from when you were involved in the competition.

I'm definitely a fan of your work and appreciate you sharing it here.

I've always appreciated film/tv scoring as a medium for music.

It's more often the music than the subject matter I remember about most of the shows I watched or recall my parents watching when I was a kid. Part of what drew me to the music of John Zorn's Naked City band is the obvious influence of Carl Stalling whose cartoon scoring music is indelibly imprinted on most of our brains.
