    I'd really like to get out to an open mic again sometime just for the chance to play with some different musicians.

    I've had a lot of fun in the past with it and, as a bass player, lots of people want you to play with them. I think it makes you a stronger player to get out and play with different musicians and styles. Unless it's one slow blues tune after another...Not fun for bass at all.

    Hahaha. I can imagine. For whatever reason, that's my impression of most open mic nights: lots of slow blues jams.
