    well firstly happy christmas and new year ( belated i know ) hope yous had a great one. sorry for my absence had quite alot of gigs and pc access has been limited

    anyway bit of worry last gig after sound check my peavey classic 30 had this strange crackling sound from when i played low E or low end notes
    going to put into repairs tomorrow but anyone know what it could be
    really hoping the speaker isnt burst ill cry lol

    Probably just a tube. The next thing that comes to mind is a broken solder joint or maybe the speaker lead is not making good enough contact.

    If it was working fine before then it's most likely a small issue that is easily repairable and cheap to do so you'll still have $ for a pint.
