A strat or tele can get you that bright Fender sound - just a matter of which kind to choose. There are models made in Mexico, US, Japan, Indonesia, Korea...etc. (that latter would be Squiers I think)
I think I'm wanting to add a Strat to my collection. I just can't get that "jangely" Fender sound out of my Gibsons. My Les Pauls are thick with plenty of bite, and my 335 is warm and bluesy, but I also want that nice clear,bright Fender sound.
