Default This may sound like a total noob question....

....but I'm going to ask it!

My Strat (2006 MIM Standard) has developed a pronounced forward bow in the neck. Since it doesn't have a bi-directional truss rod, what's the best way to fix the problem? If I loosen the truss rod, won't that make the problem worse?

    Thanks in advance!

I thought tightening the truss rod reverses a forward bow? Right?

The string tension creates the bow in the neck. Tightening the truss rod counteracts that force and straightens the bow out.

YES IT WILL....that's why you tighten it.
