    Default RIP, Gary Richrath

Original guitarist for REO Speedwagon, and a highly underrated player, IMO. Apparently had a lot of addiction issues and I would guess this was a factor in his demise at only age 65. Really a shame. This guy could really lay down the licks in his prime, and always looked like he was having a ball doing it. His guitar work in "Roll with the Changes" on The Midnight Special in the late '70s is one of the best live-on-TV performances I've ever seen:

RIP, that was a great band.

Very sad. I loved this band as a kid.
