    Just a comment on the Fuzz Face clone. This pedal uses a pair of NPN germanium transistors (AC127's, to be exact), so it is a negative ground pedal, like the vast majority of guitar effects. Consequently, it can be "daisy-chained" with other pedals on a common power source, and doesn't require a dedicated power supply like positive ground (PNP transistor) Fuzz Faces do.

    thanks DVM! I forgot that part. That pedal has a sale pending here locally already! I kinda hate to see it go, but I guess I am just more of a Muff style fuzz guy based on what I tend to use.
