Default Birthday Jazz Box - Joe Pass Emperor Pro

Sold some gits and traded up to this beauty! Virtually brand new 2015 Pro version (with coil tapping) Ebay score for 1/2 price due to broken lower strap button... It just happened to be my birthday...

Happy Birthday! That is a very cool guitar. I've never tried one. Is it easy to play?

Thanks, Robert. Yes, this is the easiest playing guitar I have - the Sheraton is right up there, too, but for some reason this one is just effortless to play. The Sheraton has a "60's slim taper" and the Pass a "60's slim taper 'C' ". Seems a bit thinner thatn the Sheraton, but I like the feel of that neck, too. It has 10's on it but I'm going to try some flat-wound 11's. Once I got the amp set up right for it, it has a great jazz tone. It's also very light weight and sits nicely in your lap. I'm really enjoying it.

Played the old model once in a store - great guitar. I found the neck to be a little to thin for my taste, it great anyway.
    Congrats! Enjoy her :-)
