    Default Greta Van Fleet

Have you guys heard of Greta Van Fleet? They are a new band out of Frankenmuth, MI, not far from where I grew up. They've got a great classic hard rock sound. Here's a couple of examples:

Axen: Jackson DK2M, Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster, Reverend Warhawk 390, Taylor 914ce, ESP LTD Surveyor-414
Amphen: Jet City JCA22H and JCA12S cab, Carvin X-60 combo, Acoustic B20
Effecten: "Thesis 96" Overdrive/Boost (aka DVM OD2), Hardwire DL-8 Digital Delay/Looper, DigiTech Polara Reverb, DigiTech EX-7 Expression Factory and CF-7 Chorus Factory, Danelectro CF-1 Cool Cat Fuzz

I've heard of them recently and when watching the video for the first time i thought the singer was a girl. It's always nice to see young folks/kids being influenced by cool rock music. Give them a few years to develop a more individual songwriting and they will kick major a**!

Currently I find them a little to one dimensional.

Cool that someone else discovered these guys. I've been listening to them since the EP came out. I If you like them check out Dorothy and Airborne. Definitely old school sound as well.

I saw these guys on music channel i watch on my Roku! LOL

I, too, thought the singer was a broad. Anyway, it's heartwarming to see young kids filling the void with good music. Too many of my idols have kicked the bucket.

    Sounds like Led Zeppelin!

Yeah, some of their stuff has a definite Zep feel to it. I think "Black Smoke Rising" is a bit less Zeppy and a more modern take on classic rawk.
