    Default Operating room boogie

Tuesday past........So, I'm laying there on the operating table at HUP (Hospital of Univ of Penn), getting prepped for outpatient surgery (malignant melanoma--left forearm near the elbow) and one of the nurses says to me that they have Pandora piped into the OR....and is there any type of music I'd like to hear during my surgery? Dudette, seriously? I spent the next 30 minutes listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan. AWESOME!

Hope all goes well there, and quite the SRV listening moment!

Great you had some decent music. Beats the canned stuff they usually have. Hope your recovery goes well.

Feeling good to date. If it wasn't for the big bandage on my forearm, I wouldn't even know I had surgery. Not even a twinge of pain or discomfort after the surgery. They filled a prescription for me for 10 Percocet that I haven't even touched. Definitely counting my blessings!
