    Sweep it up, baby!

    What do you think?
The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.

    <Jackie Gleason>How sweep it is!</Jackie Gleason>

As I've been working on sweep picking, I've found that the line between playing it well and train-wreck-totally-out-of-control-crash-and-burn is often a very fine one. I get it to a certain speed and think "Oh, I can go faster than THAT." Then I try to play it that fast and it all falls apart. To my ears, few things sound cooler than a well-executed sweep arpeggio. Conversely, few things sound worse than a sweep arpeggio crashing and burning.

    Nice!
I have a suggestion for your fine video lessons. Perhaps in the end of the video you could play the lick to a very short backing/rhythm track so that the audience can hear a example how the lick can be used.
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009
