    Default My Custom Pickups Set

Recently I asked David Barfuss (a guy from Germany) to make me a custom set for my "Blackie" partscaster.
I was looking for a John Mayer type of sound.
So I sent him some videos from YouTube and asked him if he could make me such a set.

The result was VERY VERY good!

Here is a link for the custom set that he made me.

You can hear the clip here (choose the first one)

    Keep in mind that:
    1) My playing sucks...
    2) The strings were already dead when i recorded it

I used my Fender Pro Jr and a SM57 mike. The reverb and delay was added later on my PC.
    MY GEAR:

Those sound really great. So does your playing. Thanks for the tip about the pickups.

You should consider playing on some of our backing tracks.

Wow, that is THE strat tone! I really love the Pro JR sound too.. You play very good!
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

Really nice. I admire both your playing and your relentless pursuit of that tone. I like it!

Great tones and playing as well! I wish it were longer.
