Nice review, Robert! I had heard of these before. It's amazing how easy it can be to get into guitar these days. It would be a great platform for learning to do set ups, etc. The pickups definitely didn't sound like vintage Fender to me, but actually that's a good thing because I prefer more modern-sounding single coils.
