Default Any of those paysites worth it?

    http://www.guitartips.com.au/?
    http://www.guitartricks.com/?
    etc...

Are the free sites just as good like http://shredacademy.com/home.htm? Whats the concensus?

I'd like to learn a bit of theory and be able to work the neck instead of being stuck on the 5th fret doing an A blues scale all the time. I'd be nice to be able to understand that http://www.electricbluesclub.co.uk/g...tar_codex.html too....

Thanks guys. And I don't even feel like that big of a loser asking....

I'd say if you're just looking to beef up you're theory a paysite would not be the best way to go.

Although I've never used one I reckon taking the old school approach and learning them shapes is a great place to start.

For example you mention, playing that ole a minor on the 5th aka shape one, so nailing the next four pentatonic shapes up the neck ought to open up youre playing quite a bit.

    -hope this helps
