    Default Summer holiday plans?

Have you guys already plans for the summer?

I will be travelling to the Isle of Texel in the Netherlands with my whole family (mother in law included...belive it or not!).

I wrote an email from there to you guys last year and now I see how fast the last 12 months flew by!

In August I will perhaps spend also a week in Gothenburg Sweden, but that is still not fix.

I've got a holiday of a lifetime planned for May (it's our honeymoon - me and soon-to-be Mrs lev are getting married April 28th). We are spending a week at the Legends resort in Mauritius and then flying to South Africa to do a Safari, hopefully we'll see some big cats in the wild. I'm brining a camcorder so I'll post any good footage I get here. Can't wait!

My wife's aunt emigrated to Mauritius last year. She married a Mauritius native and she is very happy to live there.

All the best to you and your wife for the marriage - and that plan for the honey moon trip sounds totally awesome - a safari.....wow!

Spring break trip to the Newport Coast of California, and a mid-summer trip to visit family here: http://www.drdale.com/cam/

I love visiting the water. It is essentially a reverse of the car trip I remember taking when I was a kid and lived on the coast.

No big plans, except MOVING in mid-July. Same town - new house. As mentioned in other posts, my wife is the Food & Beverage Services Manager at the Humboldt Golf Club. Pretty much consumes her (our) summer months. Oh well, will have a nice big yard, a deck and a patio to break in

Oh, and keeping with this thread, our family doctor (before he retired) is from Mauritius. Lev, that HM sounds freakin' awesome!! We will have to demand pictures!

I'm within spitting distance (figuratively) of the Henry's Fork of the Snake River and Yellowstone park. Both are renown fishing destinations. Might as well come up here to do some picking and fishing. That's an offer.

Have you heard any reports lately of the Henry's Fork? I know for awhile there the fishing wasn't as stellar as it used to be years ago. Who knows dude maybe I could swing up there sometime thanks for your offer!

Depending on how much time I have between Summer and Fall school terms, I'd like to do a nice fat road trip from Northwest Oregon to Chicago. I need at least two weeks since I refuse to fly and the trip will take about three days each way.

Gotta visit family I left behind when I moved out here four and a half years ago (I literally packed everything I could into my Blazer- guitars and halfstack, videogames, CD's, and clothes, plus whatever else happened to fit) and also, very importantly, EAT LOTS. Can't stand the food out here in Oregon.

Nothing as exciting as a Safari or exotic destination (yes, photos!), but the wife and I will be heading to Arizona for 2 weeks in 2 weeks. Plan on visiting family in Phoenix, friends in Lake Havasu City, and just maybe (for sure) a side trip to a group of casinos. Hoping to find some "big cats" at the poker tables to fill up the GAS tank for....... another new guitar!

We´re going to spend a week in a Danish water park. Lots of BBQ and beer.
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

I will probably run Calgary marathon, for one thing. Thinking about Las Vegas marathon too, in December. We also have the scenic K-100 relay in the mountains in June, it's a breathtaking running relay in the Rocky Mountains.

Otherwise, we like to drive to new places and go camping and just take it easy, maybe go for a swim if there's a lake. I think I need an amp that runs on batteries, so I can take it along.

I am more of a fall vacation person.. into the BlueRidge mountains to watch the colours change...

Summer will bring a trip back to Chicago to see the mother (84 now) and the skyline (much older but less important).. and enjoy the downtown area which usually has some festival going on every weekend...
