    Default Footswitch issue

So this week marked my first foray into electric guitar. Anyhow,I got myself a footswitch and an AD15VT.

    Footswitch: http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/pro..._sku=100085417

The footswitch doesn't work when the cable is inserted completely in its jack. I have to shimmy it out ever so slightly (maybe 0.25 inches) for it to work as it should.

Cable is new and worked just fine with the momentary switch I bought by accident before exchanging it for the latch model.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

Do you use a mono or stereo tele cable?
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

I'm not sure. The guy at Guitar Center picked it out for me. It's a Live Wire "Balanced Trs 1/4" to TRS 1/4", 5FT" (quote is above the barcode).

If it is the wrong cable, should it not have had the same problem with the momentary switch?
