the tone on that clip is sick.... heck ya make the move to add one to your arsenal...
Well, this may very well be my next amp. I tried one a couple of years ago and I have not forgotten how I impressed I was ...
Now I just heard this clip - http://gimik.fr.free.fr/Steam/save-me-sample.mp3
Gear used on the clip: Maz 18 Head - 2x12” cab loaded with Celestion Greenback - 1986 RI 62’Strat w/Velvet Hammer pickups - Fulltone OCD - Vox Wah
I love that tone! What do you guys think?
Instead of buying another guitar, I think a good head would do me good. The Maz 18 Jr seems like it was made for me... It's very versatile, and works for country, blues and rock. It has an effects loop too for my Lexicon, yummy.

We've done four already, but now we're steady, and then they went one-two-three-four....
Hello Robert,
That sounds great! It reminds me of Plankton's sound.

Plankton? Uhh, what do you mean?

Sorry Robert I thought you knew about Plankton the band from Sweden.http://www.plankton.nu/music.html These guys sound great. Once in a while one of the guitarists sound reminds me of the sound that you referred to in your post of the Dr Z Mas 18 Jr.

Duuuude! They're Swedish and friggin awesome. I think Iago mentioned them a while ago and I enjoyed them right away.Originally Posted by Robert

First of all:
PLANKTON rules! I have been following their musical output for two or three years right now and their music is so great....
But back to topic:
We have a shop here in Germany and they distribute the Dr Z amps. They have 4-5 models in stock always. During a workshop tour I had the chance to play the Dr Z amps and it was almost the best sound I have ever heard coming out of an amp!
I know they are kind of expensive, but you should definitely take into consideration buying one of these when the budget fits - thinking of your style of playing Robert, this amp could elevate your excellent playing even more!
The clip was awesome and it sounded so Jimi-like...

Yeah, I must have a Dr Z fix soon! They are a bit expensive, but they are hand-made in the USA instead of mass-produced in Asia.
I tell myself I deserve some quality gear!
The resell value is also very good on these amps.
