Thumbs up I bought a Dean Palomino!

Went to a local store where they were having a Dean blowout sale. I saw the Palomino model and since I've never had a big acoustic box, I decided to give it a try.

They had three finishes left: aqua, orange, and three-tone burst. I played each one and the burst was way more resonant than the other two, and for me it just had the classiest looks.

    So I bought it!

Low action, no buzzing, it's a bit on the heavy side, but not unbalanced, you can play this one like a regular acoustic, it's kinda loud considering its heft, or you can plug it in...And boy, these P90s have a nice bite! No muddiness here--very sharp, defined sound. I expected a bassier sound, but this is clear, with nice high tones, definitely a single coil tone. Neck is very nice, no fret sprout, and has nice blingy inlays. Binding all around is perfect!

All it needs now is new strings, and polish the frets. $331 outta the door!

Here are some pics I just took:

Allright Kerc! That is sweet looking! I really like the burst effect. Pretty traditional looking for the Dean guys.

Very nice. I hope that isn't one of the recalled versions. What is the serial number?

    Nice guitar Kerc! Congrats!

    Clips please
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

OK, it's a small collection, but it's still stuff you don't see every day!

Yeah, Warren, I was thinking we might need to look into post traumatic stress counseling for T-Ross after that one!
