Default Fuzz Face - Which One?

    Fuzz Face - Which one?
Ok, I know the saying and story: This pedal sounds like that one and this one can come close to this one even if it is designed completely different and uses different/better transistors.. etc. etc.

But I also believe if you want a Big Muff Sound get a Big Muff or one of the clones.

If you want a RAT sound get a RAT or one of the clones. etc. etc.
With that said.. Base this on Hendrix and Gilmour.

Hendrix and Gilmour both used a Fuzz Face, After searching for months it seems they both started with germanium based Fuzz Faces and Switched to Silicon when available..

Sooo... if you have to get one Fuzz Face to come near their sounds (not their playing.. I know I know)

Which Fuzz Face Would you get based on a BC-108 Silicon Chip which it seems is what they mainly used/use to obtain their sound?

Please if I am wrong on this let me know but just not your opinion, proof to why you think they used germanium only and yes, I know germanium cleans up better, but also is temp based and hates 9 volt power supplies based on "boss" pedal connections..

    4. Vintage all the way.. because nothing can replace it.

    5.Another model..site, price and why?

    Thanks guys..
Im just curious about these things..
I will never sound like either guy because I don't play well now and will never achive their skills.

I am sure someone has comments/opinions on this?

Umm..I actually posted this to see if anyone would mention this pedal as a "I WANT IT"...

Seems Dunlop finally got smart and made one to the exact standards as the old one, down to the color of the circuit board... Seeing no-one is buying their red one..

Also has the cool Turquise body...I belive the same as the one Gilmour used in Back to Pompei (I could be..and usually am wrong)

Should be available mid July... and on my "I WANT IT" list..
