    That would happen to be Steve Gaines.

    I always loved that "Chicken Pickin" Stratocaster sound that he brought to Lynyrd Skynyrd when he joined them in 75-76

    Thanks for the link! I´ve always liked his work with Skynyrd.
    I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

    Yes, I would certainly agree. That guy was a great player. It was one of the things that I really liked about Lynard Skynard. I learned so much from listening to that guy. ... still trying to play some of those lines from "I Know a Little" I really like the way he makes his lines sound so smooth even with all the chromatic things he puts in. He makes it sound so effortless.

    Great playing style. I like that style. He was quite influential on many players after him.
