    Default My new baby!!

Ive been wanting to get some P-90 flavor so I picked this up this weekend. Did a nice setup on her last night and am extremely pleased with the feel and tone on this thing. Last time I had one of these was in the 70's. I seriously was considering a Paul but they have just never ever felt comfortable to me, so I tried a few nice R8's and R9's and I guess Im not a Les Paul kind of guy. The feel of the neck especially the access to the higher frets just won me over not to mention how this baby rings out unplugged. I never had a P-90 guitar but these are some really nice sounding pups!

    Ooba dooba!
Happy birthday or whatever. I guess you don't really need any excuse other than she said "take me home."

Nice! Mark that guitar looks fantastic, and a SG with P90´s! We just HAVE to hear how that sounds. Record something for us!
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

That's a very sweet looking new toy you've got yourself there. Wish you many years of enjoyable play with it.

Red is the only color for an SG, AFAIC! Nice score, Mark. Those SG's have great necks on them, too.

I agree. SG's look much more bad-*** in red than any other color. Now what I want is a dark green Tele!

Pretty, pretty thing. Here's a whacked coincidence. Picking my kid up from his lesson today, waiting in the store, and noticed a guitar that shouldn't have been among the regular stock. Sure enough, used SG snuck in. Red, mid-80s (I think), gorgeous action, ready to rock for about $1K (Cdn.) Too much for me, but someone is in luck. I'm battling another bout of G.A.S.
