You should try to read music Just'a. I like it a whole lot better than tab. You can also transcribe to another key or play it on another part of the fretboard a whole lot easier if you read music.

What really helped me (Not that I'm a big expert) was taking up the Classical Guitar.... really not a lot of classical repertiore written in tab if you know what I mean..... :-)
The game would be really cool if you plugged in your guitar & had to play the note to shoot it down.
Nintendo & Fender out to get together & make a guitar learning game.
