    Cheech and Chong?

Ok... this thread has been idle for a bit, so I'm going to throw a new song out.

They do it on camber sands
    They do it at Waikiki
Lazing about the beach all day
    At night the crickets creepy
    Squinting faces at the sky
    A Harold Robbins paperback
Surfers drop their boards and dry
    And everybody wants a hat

    Chorus:
    But behind the Chalet
    My holiday's complete
And I feel like William Tell
Maid Marion on her tiptoed feet
    ****** ******* **** *** *****

Shrinking in the sea so cold
    Topless ladies look away
    A he-man in a sunken shower
    Shelters from the rain
You wish you had a motor boat
To pose around the harbor bar
And when the sun goes out to bed
You hook it up behind the car

    Chorus:

    Two fat ladies window shop
    Something for the mantlepiece
In for bingo all the nines
A panda for sweet little niece
    The coach drivers stand about
    Looking at a local map
About the boy he's gone away
Down to the next door's caravan

    Chorus:

    fin:

    Ok, here's one:

Through sixty-six and seven they fought the Congo war
Fingers on their triggers, knee-deep in gore
For days and nights they battled the Bantu to their knees
They killed to earn their living and to help out the Congolese

I haven't even come close to any of the other lyrics that have been posted and I wouldn't have gotten this one, but a coworker was talking about the song earlier this week. When you posted the lyrics I did a double take.

Ok, here goes and will probably be quick.

I fear that I'm ordinary, just like everyone
To lie here and die among the sorrows
    Adrift among the days
    For everything I ever said
And everything I've ever done is gone and dead
As all things must surely have to end
And great lovers will one day have to part
I know that I am meant for this world
    My life has been extraordinary
    Blessed and cursed and won
Time heals but I'm forever broken

I'll give you a clue - begins with an M and sometimes there are people you would like to put one on.

I know I'm probably breaking the rules, but I want to keep this going.

I was thinking that after 48 hours (or some set time frame) that the person divulge the song if no one guesses it and post a new one - sort of a way to keep the thread active. Just throwing it out there.

    Heres a good one

I recall the day I took you to a baseball game
You brought along your baby doll and half its' baby things
We sat there a-playin' house, while the Dodgers played the Braves
And ev'ryone in the bleachers, looked at us as if to say.

Let's go with Rob's - I'll throw one out during a lull because I will never get back up to bat again - it was pure luck.

Anyone have a comment about my suggestion for a time limit or is it lame

I think 48 hours is long enough, or until someone answers it maybe a couple of posts down works for me as well.
