    Default DigiTech EX-7

[Crossposted from the Metal Method forums]

I've always wondered why no one seemed to combine a whammy, volume, and wah pedal into one. As I was perusing the February GuitarOne, I saw an ad for the DigiTech EX-7 Expression Factory. The idea, at least, seems very cool. It models two types of wah, whammy, volume, and a few other effects plus it has all of the distortion models from their DF-7 Distortion Factory. It's not cheap at $199. I just wondered if anyone had seen any of these yet. It must be brand new since there are no reviews on Harmony Central.

It is brandnew. The german product specialist of digitech told me yesterday, he will recieve his model within the next days. So perhaps you can't buy it at the moment. I will have a look at it at the Frankfur Music Fair at the end of March.

The place where I bought my Behringer overdrive normally carries this pedal too, although it's on order right now. When it comes in I'm definitely going to have to try it out.

I mentioned it in a post quite a while ago. The web site has many demos of the sound combinations. They sound pretty good huh?
I thought about getting one but then the limitations kind of crept up and I decided not to get one. Still good bang for the buck though.

It seems very cool. The main thing I'm looking for is that it is a wah, volume, and whammy pedal in one. The rest is just gravy (although rather nice gravy).

I have one of these pedals.
They're really awesome, and the "Space Station" setting (type 3) gives a really sweet synth strings effect. Its pretty good for playing backing chords over a chorus or an ending. And if you use distortion on this setting, in my opinion, its one of the sweetest effects I've ever played.
Overall, it was money well spent.
