Im with DaLaw! do-able in time...
it really makes me try to use my pinky, which is another barrier for me..
it hurts..lol..
I always fall back to using my ring finger..
but I am trying.. this is a nice one for me..thanks Robert!


Edit: let me take that back...this will never be do-able at the right speed.. lol.. I just watched a bunch of Youtubes on this... man its fast...lol

Robert, can ya help me understand something or correct me..

Obviously my ears and playing is not at any good level, but I try..

I really like this lesson and I am learning it quicker than I thought..

When I hear you play it, it sounds great.. and in C

I went with the title and looked up Freddy King playing it on Youtube.

Here is when I get confused.. "to me" listening to this, he is playing in C# or Dflat whichever...
or at least thats all I can add in blues scale with them while they are playing... if I try to play something in C scale as the lesson is in.. it just sounds OFF "to me" .. did I lose you?

Can ya let me know if he actually is playing this in C and I have more problems than I thought... or did you just decide on C instead of C#? for the lesson?

But I took it as that's what Freddy plays this in..

Nice use of the looper as well.

I've heard what you've called "barring two notes with one finger" a

roll over

as in roll your finger over to the next string.

Because there is often a little rolling down of the finger. I was very happy when I first learned this move.

Justa, it's quite possible that old video recordings don't play back in exactly the same speed as during the moment when it was recorded, which would throw the pitch off slightly. It's also possible their instruments are not tuned in 440 Hz. Who knows.

If you want to play along to the video, you'd have to retune your guitar to match their pitch. That way you could stay playing in C, even though they sound like they are playing in C#.

I take it that he does play it in C then... and yeah that kinda makes sense..
Didn't think about the quality messing up in the recording itself..
and C# aint to far away huh.. wasn't sure if you was gonna tell me to try a certain scale or not...
quality at time of recording works for me..

I was more worried I can't HEAR sheeet right to tell the truth..
And thought the C was suppose to sound right playing along with them..

I know I can't play a note..
I just didn't want to find out I can't hear one to..

I don't understand the 440 thing.. I thought they all was.. so much to learn!

there is differences in 440 tunings? I mean the same C etc.. not drop d etc..
that's probably for another thread..lol
