    Default Funky and Groovy

Here is a cool funky backer to play around with.

    http://www.box.net/shared/vrzvy00fbd

We can either split it up and collaborate or do the whole thing as a solo.

While you are thinking about what you'd like to do you can listen to my take which is once through with a rhythm guitar and then one take with a solo. It would be a good track to put some polish on though. However, I'm impulsive.

Spudtastic! Good playing, sound & backer!
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

    Hey Spud,

I made one take on the first 50 seconds approx.

Have some problems with my recording program so that imported drums sound horrible.

To get an idea where it starts (actually the beginning of the song) listen to this:
    http://www.box.net/shared/cqh5mr7dfz

    Get the solo standalone here:
    http://www.box.net/shared/1vx3rb1akp

Hopefully, you can add the solo to your file.

Look forward to hearing other fretters takes to complete this excellent track.

That was GREAT Jimi! Thanks for that. It was fun to listen to it as a stand alone solo too. Gives an idea about the space involved and some thoughts about timing. Cool!

Good backer Spud. I really enjoyed listening to both yours and Jimi's playing as well. You both have great tone and some very interesting phrasing. Hopefully I will get some time this week to lay down a version of my own. Thanks for the backer and the inspiration!

Yeah, why don't you put the next 50 seconds after mine so we make it a cool collaboration.

Maybe Spud can mix the three takes together.

Sounds like a good project for this weekend for me. Will give it a try.

You get it to work? Not sure if it's just linking through for me because I'm a member - that box thingy tried to make me pay, thus i rejected it.

Man, I shouldn't play when I've had booze, think I might've been going for the Prince stylee tone. How very 80's.

Yes, but then, perhaps, you'd hardly ever play .

What a groove! The vibe reminds me a wee bit of the Barney Miller theme song which I always thought was awesome.

I tried to come up with some lines to play over this before I listened to everyone else's take. I have to say I'm really impressed which each and every clip that was posted. :

I really need to work on my improv skills. However, this is something that can be worked on, and I plan to. That doesn't mean that I won't have fun for the rest of the morning/day/week noodling over this track trying my best to create and improve my skills.

Thanks for inspiring me today. Now I'm feeling good :

    Very much appreciated...
