That was nice, but did you notice that it is 9 guys doing what 3 guys originally did? The power of the Top becomes evident.

Yeah, didn't really care about the other guys, just loved the guitar tone and laid back style. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and the riff is one of my earliest 'guitar memories'. I recall being about 10 years old and thinking it'd be so cool to be able to play that!

That was sweet and perfect for winding down on a Friday!! ZZ Top was a favorite of mine growing up, until they started that "techno" stuff in the 80's (along with a million other bands), but Billy Gibbons, whether playing rock or blues, is still one of the best guitarists out there.
Guitars: 2003 and 2004 American series strats, Squier Classic Vibe 50's Strat, Squier Deluxe Strat.

Amps: Line 6 Spider IV 120, Vox AD50VT 212, and Peavey Transtube Bandit 112.

    Pedals: Digitech Bad Monkey.

Love ZZ Top, but Brooks and Dunn are a little Brooks and Over-done in these here parts. Too bad. They're great musicians. I just wish they'd spend more time on the music and less time on the hair/fashion/image schtick.

I was on the floor of the Compaq Center in Houston on Millenium New Years' Eve, watching ZZ when the new year/century/millenium rang in! It was a great evening, full of gut busting rock and blues at the hands of those 3 absolutely phenomenal men. They sound like a dozen at times, I tell you!!

    Good times...........................

    Dugly
