I think the "Y" cable will give you sterio into you computer. I can imagine what Sterio Chorus, Ping Pong and Rotary effects would sound like. It should work OK.
I havent been recording since I bought my Tonelab, the reason for that is that I only have a mini stereo tele input on my computer (I recently sold my mixing table). The Vox has left (mono) and right tele output. So I wondered if anyone has experience with Y-cables (2 mono tele > 1 stereo mini tele). Does it affect the audio quality much when going through such a cable? I have also seen cables that converts 2 tele > 2 RCA.
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

Yeah its going to get me stereo sound, that is why I am considering getting such a cable. But it is the possible sound quality loss I am concerned about. I also have S/P DIF out on the tonelab, so I am considering a external solution for that as well (superior quality but I think such a solution would carry a rather hefty price tag!)
