    Default DIY Piezo Contact Mic

    Rat Shack part:

Works well, although when I tried this a few years ago, it was a tad boomy.

I don't recall that video, but I remember some of his later stuff.

Nice! Hijacked on the first reply. I love that sound and tune Strum!

BTW, I think my son might like that project. He likes to salvage parts and do projects.

I know it wasn't cool to do, but every time he got his face close to the camera I kept thinking of Elvis C.

tung, I'll take it down if you are pi--ed.

Great thread. Cool DIY project & great old whippersnapper reply by Strum (love Elvis .

Why was Elvis jr almost whispering when he was describing his project? Was he afraid of his parents finding out where the jack on their DVD player went?

tung, did you put yours in a guitar?

I actually put mine in a dulcimer I built from a kit. Like I said, it was pretty boomy, so some sort of EQ pedal might be in order.

I have a friend who built a dulcimer from a kit.

Have you tried heavily-distorted boomy blues dulcimer with yours?
