Default Standard HSS made in Mexico Strat

Was looking at them at Guitar Center today and noticed how sharp the Fret Brass edges are on the Maple neck models. Is this standard for those Strats?Even the Rosewoods were that way.Thanks.

Has to do with the change in humidity. ANY guitar can suffer from this. No reason to pass up a guitar you like. Slowly return humidity to it and the problem should clear up.

That condition happens as moisture come out of the wood like stingx says. The term for it is fret sprout. The most sure fix for it is simply to file down those fret ends that stick out.

If you find a guitar that you like don't let this stop you from buying it. It is a very simple fix in most cases and besides...we proudly promote gear acquisition here.
