Interesting. A similar thing was tried by Dan Armstrong/Ampeg, but never really caught on.
I'd never heard of this company either.
I have a sweet spot for innovative designs. Has anyone ever heard of Mercurio guitars? I never had. Apparently the guitars 3 pickups come in easy to replace modules. You have have any pickup put into a module & make changes during a gig. At least that is what I understand. Sounds cool, but I have no idea how they play or even if they are still around:

The particulary cool thing about the Mercurio is that you can have any pup by any maker made into a module & so pop that Lollar P90 or Active EMG 'bucker or what have you. Try a tele bridge pup at the neck? Sure why not?
