Yes he is! I posted that link a while ago. I have nothing but respect for someone so young and so disciplined that can play at that level. Now if they get some feel with that technique and stay in the business we'll be seeing more of them. I remember when Yingwie Malmsteen was found by Mike Vaurney. Who thunk?

No need to be sorry. We all can stand a dose of this once in a while. I didn't know he had a web site. After checking it out I can predict he will probably be around for a while. Maybe not in the USA but Japan loves this stuff.

Now that boy has a screaming solo. I have watched his performance several times to try and understand what he is actually doing while he plays along with the music.

From what can see in the video he looks like he is play the A scale in two different positions. He starts out at the 19th fret and plays through a few patterns (better known as the boxes). Then he slide down to the 7th fret and plays a few A patterns. He bounces back and forth between the 2 positions while demonstrating his playing ability and solo riffs.

Although I will never play that good, at least I hope I have at lest correctly analyzed what the boy was doing.

Here is what he could be like when he gets older, providing he learns to sing as well. If you haven't heard of Kelly Simonz then you better check this out. Scroll to the bottom of the media to download the videos. Yes, he sings while he plays but I'm not sure on which cut.
