Default New Seymour Duncan 3-way pup: single, P90, hum

Here is another attempt at getting single-coil, P90, & humbucker sounds out of the same pup.

This one does it by surrounding a rail pup with a P90 coil.

    1) Rail only: single-coil sound
    2) P90 coil only: P90 sound
    3) Rail & P90 (in series or parallel): Fatter humbucker sound.

I guess that the only humbucking mode, would be rail & P90 in parallel.

    I pick a moon dog.

This seems like a good idea... didn't understand much soundwise from the video. Could be promising though.

If you mean, humbucking = noise suppresing, then the series mode will be humbucking too. In fact, this is THE humbucking mode.

It could be clever if, somehow, they managed to use the other pickups coil as a "dummy coil", while on "single coil operation". This way you could get hum elimination in those modes too.

Oops, I thought that parallel was the humbucking mode.

No, in fact, if you remember the story about the ex. Peter Green/Jimmie Page Les Paul, on of it's peculiarities was the option for parallel wiring.
