Default Achtung! (Hughes & Kettner Tubeman MkII)

Oh those Germans with their engineering and design... they got me... g.a.s attack late in the afternoon.....

I just HAD to order a 600 dollar direct record preamp pedal from them... *sigh* the pain my wife will deliver upon my humble body and soul....I better get her some flowers...

I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

Cool SS! What made you decide to get that one? You tried in a store or something or you heard some kick-*** clips somewhere?

I havent tried it, and I havent heard much clips of it either. But I have sold a lot of H&K stuff in the past (when working in a music store) and the reviews on Harmony Central tells me that this is H & K at its best. Sounds pretty much like their top end tube amps according to a friend that has the first version (which I´ve tried and liked a lot). This one is all that the MK1 had with a upgraded integrated Red Box Pro

It's must be the knob count - I mean 10 knobs on a pedal. :

With that many I would expect it to be able to save presets

But what do I know ?

I think it's the fact that it's a shiny object that it gets my attention

I just hope that you're not the one who'll be receiving the flowers, Swede. (Where's Marnold, just in case we need somebody to do the 23rd Psalm?)

CLips sounded good, but I'm waiting to hear you playing it!

That's right SS sold his Tonelab & his Pod.

He's a Big Game Hunter on the prowl for the ellusive perfect tube-like direct tone.

sssssshhhhhh, he seems to think he's got it in his sights now....sssshhhhh.

    Haha very funny... Grrrr..

The PodXT and the Tonelab are two GREAT sounding direct record units. No doubt about that. My personal problem is that I love to buy/sell/trade stuff and I love to test out new gear.
