    Default Interactive frequency chart

Here is a pretty good chart that shows you where various instruments and voice are positioned in the audio frequency spectrum and keyboard. This can be helpful for recording and live mixing among other things.

I like the descriptions at the bottom like "whack". The chart looks to me like everyone is stepping on everyone else's toes.

I'd be cool to have an animation of a song with each instrument a different color and stacked like the above chart. The density of the color would correspond to the amplitude of the that frequency produced at that moment by that instrument.

I think that'd be very informative.

    Get on it team!

I use ntrack running on my PC for mixing my home recordings. Ntrack has a display that shows the frequency profile of any particular track. I use that as a guide for what EQ I apply to each track so I don't get too much frequency overlap between different instruments.

If you are like me and with the weather changing you turn to doing more stuff indoors like recording then you might find this chart helpful.
