    Default Septave

    Octave is a silly name.

    There are only 8 notes in an (major scale, say) octave in the same way that there are Eight Days a Week.

    You know:

    Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday.

    The last one is more commonly called Beatlesday & usually follows a Hard Day's Night .

    Man, you should hear the jams on my planet.

    First I play: 00000001

    Then the bassotoid player plays 00000010

    & then the BOOMbot kicks in with 00000011. Where'd it come up with *that*?!?

    ...my mind is now completely *blown*. So to totally f@ck them up, I slink in out of NOWHERE with 00000100.

    Good times, good times!!!

    Too little pre-resolved tension.

    One must needs commence with 00000000.

    For those that don't speak binary, I will translate (not that that will necessarily make things any clearer )

    Firs off, there are two ways to write binary numbers (depending on the size of your Endian). I'm putting the least significant bit on the right.

    So,

    00000000 = 0
    00000001 = 1
    00000010 = 2
    00000011 = 3
    00000100 = 4

    00000111 = 7
    00001000 = 8

    00101010 = 42

    Now the translation:

    Man, you should hear the jams on my planet.

    First I play: 1

    Then the bassotoid player plays 2

    & then the BOOMbot kicks in with 3. Where'd it come up with *that*?!?

    ...my mind is now completely *blown*. So to totally f@ck them up, I slink in out of NOWHERE with 4.
