Got this on a local trade, a Hohner Revelation RTS:

Looks like an alder body with some birdseye figure, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Wilkinson trem, Entwhistle-White pickups.
Sounds pretty good. Fast neck, 24 frets. Flattened "C" shape? The PUs are humbucking as they don't generate any single coil buzz.
The guitar was made in Czechoslovakia.
Anybody know anything about these?
I traded the guy my heavily modded Valve Junior. I had about $250 into it plus about 20 hours of my time. Hammond 125ESE, beefed up PS, RCA 6BQ5 and 12AX7A tubes. The guy I traded is a blues player and really liked the Valve Junior.

The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.

Entwhistle-White pickups, I've never heard of them.Originally Posted by Robert
It is very comfortable to play, much like a strat.
The guitar is more yellow than orange. There are a couple of cracks in the finish, but they don't go into the wood, the cracks don't follow the grain. There is also one small pea-sized chip out of the finish.
EDIT: I suppose I'll have to make some clips of my crappy playing now.

Strum,
Thanks for the links, I hadn't go around to googling the guitar yet.
Wow, looks like I got a good 'un.
The only thing that troubles me a tad is the cracks in the finish, but they don't bother me that much, they don't go into the wood.

Update:
Did a bit of Googling today on my new guitar, found out some interesting stuff.
This guy has like 5 of these guitars (and about 200 others : )
The guy on this page posted two images of the user's guide to the tone controls.
Front
Back
Pulling up on the middle knob engages the dual tone controls. Pushing it back in takes them out of the circuit completely. Very cool, although the range of tones isn't as great as the literature would have you believe.
I spent some more time today playing the guitar. I'm not sure if I like the sound of the pickups yet. The middle pickup gets in the way of my picking. Since the neck has 24 frets, the three pickups are spaced closer together than on a strat.
I was mistaken, the pickups are true single coils, they buzz slightly in the 1, 3, & 5 positions but are quiet on the 2 & 4. The middle pup must be RWRP.
I played through my stock Blackheart Little Giant head and stock Valve Junior head. The BH sounds much better with pedals. The VJ doesn't like my pedals as much In fact, even my cheesy stock DS-1 sounds great through the BH head.
Hopefully, I'll be able to record some clips of the guitar soon.
