    Default Let's See Your Desktop

How organized, or unorganized, your desktop is has been rumored to be a reflection of one's personality. Kind of like how kempt or unkempt one keeps their abode. Ah, who am I kidding, I just want to see your desktops.

Here's one of my desktops from my office. This one in particular is running Ubuntu Linux using E17 as a window manager.

So how do you capture your desktop to put into a file so that I can post it? I'm clueless. I have XP.

There are many programs for grabbing the screen or windows..

I been using LViewPro for YEARS and YEARS..
    simple program with good features..

    http://www.lview.com/download.htm

it's a trial version.. it use to be freeware.. ohwell..

I think this site still has the license free version here:
NOT Illegal.. the old version was free or shareware with a nag screen after 20 days!

Here is the view at home. My work machine currently has more clutter.

In mac world, one uses "Grab" that comes installed, as one easy way.

Thanks! OSX has a bunch of nice ones installed, including these, and I have it set to cycle new ones through every half hour. The iMac provides a nice work space. Much nicer than my OLD laptop I am currently on. Much more room for multiple windows so you can see what you are doing, and even have a vid playing while you are doing something boring, like reconciling the business books, etc.

Spud just do Shift Prt Scrn on your keyboard. It copys your computer screen and then you can open up something like photoshop or corel photopaint and paste the image on a new project sheet. You'll have to resize the image though cause it will be at the size of the resolution you have on your screen.

The simplest way if you don't have any image software (Photoshop, etc.) is to just push the PrintScreen button on your keyboard, open MS Paint, Edit/Paste, then save the image as a jpeg.
