    Default Back To Reality...

Well, after a week long vacation in the Sonoma Valley wine country, it's back to reality.

Pictures can't describe the beauty there...

Our friend's home in Windsor where we stayed...

    From the back fence...

Bet you can't guess what I'd be using this little casita for if it was in my yard...

Oh yeah...did I mention that we drank a lot of wine while we were there?

I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

Sweet pictures Bloozcat! Looks like a great time. When I grow up I'm gonna build one of those little houses in the back yard for all the guits and equipment. Only problem is CB and I would probably always be arguing over who gets to use it.:

Reality sucks - go back to that place Bloozcat at least until they throw you out, unless that's the reason you're back now

I love all the pics and owning that casita would be cool guitar house, I mean guest house for when the in-laws visit

Blooz I hear you can buy that fantasy by the case so that you can take it back home with you. No need to think about reality.

Glad that you had a good time. It would have been a huge treat for me to escape winter and go there myself....uh, the wine would have been cool too.

Sounds like a great trip Blooz! I haven't been down there in a while but sure have enjoyed when we have gone. Fond memories. And not even all that foggy!

As a matter of fact....I did...

I brought back an assorted case of wines that are not in distribution outside of the wine region. They're all resting comfortably in the wine cooler after their harrowing and brusing treatment at the hands of the airport apes. Those styrofoam wine carriers in the stout cardboard box are pretty tough. The container and all of it's contents arrived safely without any breakage. Hey UPS! Are you listening here?...

The only thing that prevented me from buying more (and joining several wine clubs as I would have liked) is storage. There's no such thing as basements here in Florida (for the most part), so no consistently cool natural storage. My cooler only holds 52 bottles, which may sound like a lot to some, but it pales considerably to the 550 bottle walk in "wine cave" that a friend of mine built a couple of years ago. If only I had the space, I'd have built one by now too.

Remember that old song..."Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine, when ya gonna let me get sober?"

I'm certainly not a wino, but I sure like a great bottle of red wine with a meal. Nectar of the gods, it is....:
