the byproxy gave me the whole 'footlocker' of Hogwarts for my xmas present... i devoured Duma Key in the airport, and ran halfway through the Harry Potter series on the island, while Shiner was running through the Dark Tower Series. [liked Duma Key, but like Lisey's Story better]
my magic hat...
we used to go to this thing in Waco called the Charity Ball, held by the Junior Leaguers of Waco.
[...]
got over it quickly, especially when i saw how they failed to fund my favorite charity... i digress.
so in march of 2004, at the open bar, i went to the toddler gate of 'pleasantly buzzed'... and someone left that gate Wiiiiiiide Open... b/c i just kept on toddlin.
needless to say, when we left, i was pleasantly schnockered. i started digging through our goodie bags [parting gifts and prizes] as soon as he started the truck.
Shiner was driving us home, and we got to the police station at Waco Drive and 5th... i came up, owlishly, grinning. i slapped that cap on my head and announced that it was my 'magic invisibility cap'... and that i was pretty sure i was safe, but that he was pretty much screwed.
we laughed so hard the whole way home... i was crying.
it is my faithful Island cap thereafter.![]()

Thanks for the pictures guys. That flying trapese act looks like a lot of fun and I would love to do that sometime.....but unfortunately I made myself a promise when I was just a wee little lad,, that I would go as high as humanly possible...as long as I always have one foot on the ground. Welcome Home....Glad you had fun......now get back to work. Ouch!!!!!! Kimmie that beer bottle nearly hit me in the head...don't throw anything else and I promise not to use that four letter word in the future.

CB, I hope you Mr Shiner have a great vacation, just be thinking of all of us still working back at home while you are just playing away on those strings and enjoying the sun.
Hope you have a great time. Are you going back to the Bahmas, or venturing to some new islands??
