I know tools can be expensive. Especially really nice ones. Or sets that have many, many pieces. But how is that almost 9 grand worth of tools?!?!?!!!!1one?!
If you're in need of a Craftsman toolset, get this one! Maybe one for dad?
It's only $8599.90! Hmm, the word "overkill" comes to mind. :

The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.

I have a Craftsman 150 pc set and for the most part it handles my needs.
I put their replacement guarentee to the test and they replaced a lot of my tools when we had our fire.
Somewhere in this mess are my old Craftsman tools. I took in everything I could find and they replaced everything. The parts were discolored and probably the metal was weakened by the heat.

That pot metal aluminum license plate made it through... Wow.
Gas containers full of gas and on the shelf above it, two batteries - nothing exploded.Originally Posted by Rabies

I wonder how much that would cost in Snap On Tools?
See...the thing about Craftsman is that the timber is rather flat when you drop them. Snap On have the loveliest tones.

You'd be surprised Rob with the tools you eventually need for those special little projects around the house, yard or garage. I can see where all of those would come in handy. And yeah Snap Ons would be way more expensive.

Guys I've been buying tools since 1983 and 9 grand is cheap.I have only Snap-on,Mac ect. because I use them everyday.Sumi
I'd only pay that much if they automatically lined themselves up like that, or in some other organized fashion, for me after I was done. I love that socket arrangement top near center!

I'm a mechanic, and I have $50,000 invested in tools. Most of my tools are Snap-on & Matco. Craftsman, tools are ok for around the home use for occasional projects, but they won't stand up to the daily use in a shop.

$50K??? There has to be some serious tools in that collection. $50K, let's see that would be equal to a decent quantity of guitars and amps.Originally Posted by Sprinter

Seriously...for those that say there is a difference...how much difference is there, REALLY?
50k is a good average and it comes out of our pocket,so really auto techs are not payed nearly enough.Yes Rabies there is really a difference between the tools. For me Snap-On sockets are the best.Sumi
I just bought a set of mechanics tools (now that my daily driver is a '65 chevy its kind of mandatory) and $130 with Craftsman covered me just fine...
